Alpha Pritchard Knott, 92, of Denver, CO, formerly of Milton, WV, went home to be with her Savior on September 17, 2026. She was a very beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, stepmother, friend and family member to everyone she knew. Alpha was born on May 10, 1934, in Milton, WV, and was daughter of the late Mervin Newmyer and Agnes Glover Hicks. She was a retired secretary from Barboursville Elementary School and was loved by a generation of students. Alpha was preceded in death by her husband Paul Pritchard in 1993 and later by her husband Calvin Knott in 2022. She is survived by her son, Mike Pritchard and daughter-in-law, Stephie Pritchard of Castle Rock, Colorado; her two granddaughters, Brooke and her husband Erick of Denver, CO and Brittany and her husband Jeff of Denver, CO and five great-grandchildren, Hudson, Caroline, Nora, Noah and Chase of Denver, CO, where she moved to spend her last years. Also, she is survived by her stepdaughter, Dianna Black (Jack) of Culloden, WV, and stepdaughter, Tammy Fox (Ron) of Midlothian, VA and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews, and cousins. Alpha was known by all for her love for her family and friends and her ability to put others first and make everyone she met feel loved and special. Above all, she was known for her love for Jesus, who was first and foremost throughout her entire life. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Monday, September 28, 2026, at Fellowship Baptist Church by Pastor Greg Wagoner. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Fellowship Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Fellowship Baptist Church or Gideons International.
