Betty Jane Byrd, 86 of Ona, WV, passed away September 26, 2026. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Pastor Greg Lunsford. Burial will be in Arthur Cemetery. She was born November 1, 1940 in Milton, a daughter of the late Walter Franklin and Ethel Mae Clagg Miller. She was a member of Beulah Ann Baptist Church and taught Sunday School classes. She was a retired employee of 56 years at WV Electric. She was preceded in death by her husband, Welza “Junior” Byrd; one sister, Vada Diehl; and one brother James Miller. She is survived by two sisters, Nellie Gillispie of Ona and Patty Miller of Hurricane; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton.
