Janice Morris Champe, 93, of Milton, WV, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, William Franklin Champe II, two sons, Douglas Brent and Gregory Nile Champe, and three siblings, James Morris, June Morris DiRosa, and Joann Morris Carroll. Janice was born September 2, 1933 at home in Ona, West Virginia to the late Elmer and Nina Chapman Morris. She graduated from Milton High School in 1951. After attending Huntington School of Business, she was employed by INCO, Huntington, where she met her future husband. She spent the majority of her life as a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed. Janice is survived by her children, Debra (Richard) Williams and William Franklin Champe III and his partner, Brittany Yoey; her grandchildren, Rachel (Dave) Piecuch, Sarah (Matt) Plasencia, Jared Williams and fiancé, Nicole Miller, Brittany (Will) Lockhart, Catherine (Scott) Benjamin, Christian (Angie) Champe, Anthony Champe, Keysha O’Dell and Megan Champe; her great-grandchildren, Elijah Piecuch, Evelyn Plasencia, Brayden and Beckham Lockhart, Mason and Charlotte Benjamin, Catrina Champe, Lindsey Junod, Penelope and Xavier O’Dell, Amaré and Cameron Champe.
