John Timothy “Tim” Conner, 78, of Milton, West Virginia, passed away on October 9, 2026. Known affectionately to his grandchildren as the King of Candy, “Pawpaw” never arrived without some on hand. Tim was born March 3, 1948, in Charleston to Eugene “Gene” and Anna (Teets) Conner.
He is survived by his wife, Lana (Lawrence) Conner; his children, Kelley (Mike) Lear, J.T. (Darcy) Conner, and Casey Conner; his step-sons, Jeff, Brian, and Todd; Claudine (Nate) Rabidoux; his sister, Judy (Conner) Raikes; and his 14 grandchildren, who will carry on his sweet tooth. He also leaves behind 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sharon (Conner) Rogers.
Tim graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School and Marshall University and never stopped cheering on the Herd, win or lose. His forty-five-year career with Sears took him to Kansas City, St. Louis, Houston, and Dallas, among other places. After retiring, he could usually be found on the front porch with Lana or out on the golf course. He was a member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church.
Visitation will begin at Noon on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at Wallace Funeral Home in Milton, WV followed by a 1 p.m. service. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lewis Memorial Baptist Church.
