Thurman Gale Adkins of Barboursville, WV, passed away February 5, 2023 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born January 16, 1955. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Adkins, whom he loved dearly, as well as his parents, Herbert and Zeda Adkins, two brothers, Garland Adkins and Terry Adkins. He worked at ACF and retired from Service Wire Company as a machine operator. He loved his family and friends very much. He spent most of his time not working-hunting, fishing, raising game fowl, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by one daughter, Natalie Adkins Karle (Nick Karle); two grandchildren, Gabriella and Maximus Karle, whom he loved very much; as well as two sons who loved him very much, Andy Leean Adkins and Bryan Gale Adkins; one brother, who was his best friend, Mike (Gail) Adkins; one loving sister-in-law, Bonnie Eaves; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family; three special friends, Elmer Vance, Dencil Parsons, and Chris Jackson. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Mary’s ICU cardiology unit for their care and help. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, February 10, 2023 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Jesse Lacy. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery.
