Susan Kay Young, 71, of Barboursville, WV, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026 at Huntington Health and Rehab. She was born October 27, 1954, the daughter of the late Carl Edward Childers (Duke) and Anna Jean (Setliff) Childers of Barboursville. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William (Roger) Young and her brother, John Edward Childers. Along with her mother, she is survived by her niece, Christina (Childers) Brown (Raymond) of Ona and her sister-in-law, Mary (Thornton) Childers of Barboursville. She worked at Hills, as a meat cutter and deli person for Mack’s Market for many years, and for Walgreens in Hurricane. She loved her cats and traveling. In addition, she is survived by many cousins, one aunt, one uncle and a very special friend Roger McCallister. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Minister Danny Evans. Burial will be in Docks Creek Cemetery.
