
Candace Jeanne Baumgardner Freeman, 73, of Culloden, W.Va., passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. She was born July 30, 1952 in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late, Charles Fredrick Baumgardner and Gloria Jeanne Broughman Perkins. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Victor Gale Freeman and by her daughter-in-law, Candy Lynn Freeman. She is survived by one daughter, Karri Lynn Berlin (Matthew); two sons, James Daniel Freeman and Brian Scott Freeman (Kali); two sisters, Robin Hager and Anita Hart (Victor); one brother, Charles Baumgardner (Teresa); grandchildren, Jaz Stephenson, Brian Freeman II, Talina Tackett (Chase), Justin Freeman (Madison), Taylor Freeman, Elijah Freeman and Baylor Freeman; step grandchildren, Drenda Nelson and Josh Rose; great-grandchildren, Melody, Oliver, Brynlee, Kayden, Annabell and Holden; step great-grandchildren, Lamiyah and Mariyah and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was an avid genealogist who devoted countless hours to uncovering family roots and loved capturing memories through photography. She was a 1998 graduate of Marshall University School of Nursing. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville with Pastor Kenny Estep officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2026 at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
