1951 - 2026

Dennie Dale Ferguson, 75, of Barboursville, WV, passed away to his heavenly home on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born March 8, 1951 in Kenova, WV. He was the son of the late John Raymond and Juanita H. Ferguson. He is survived by his wife, Janice Sue Ferguson, two sons, Dennie Joe and Ryan Allan Ferguson along with three brothers, Raymond Lee (Dottie) Ferguson of Huntington, WV, Robert Wayne (Diane) Ferguson of Kenova, WV, and John Richard (Connie) Ferguson of Huntington, WV. He also leaves three grandsons whom he loved dearly, Joey, Tanner, and Cole Ferguson along with several nieces and nephews. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a great brother! We will always cherish the love he had for his family and friends, his big smile, and how he enjoyed watching his sons and grandsons in all their sporting activities. Also, one of Dennie’s great loves was coaching baseball, he coached for 45 years, he coached Little League, Junior League, and Senior League, and was the manager of the American Legion Post #177 baseball team for 12 years. Additionally, he was the coach for the only Senior League State Championship team for Barboursville in 1995, and all together he was part of three state championship teams. He was a member of Abundant Hope Baptist Church, Barboursville, WV and a 1969 graduate of Ceredo-Kenova High School. The family would like to thank all the St. Mary’s Medical Center Physicians, Nurses, and Skilled Staff for their loving care and devotion they gave to our father. Dennie’s funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, WV with visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Kenova, WV.
