Major Guillemo R. Gutierrez, USAF, Ret. went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005 at a local care center in Kerrville, Texas. He was born March 30, 1923 in Brownsville, Texas to Conrado Gutierrez and Concepcion Garcia. He served during World War II in the U.S Air Force from 1941 till 1983 and retired as a Major. Guillermo married Victoria Flores on July 31, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas. He retired as the Senior Vice President for Gary Aircraft in San Antoniio, Texas and retired after many years. They were members of La Trinidad United Methodist Church when they lived in San Antonio, Texas. They made Kerrville their home for the past 21 years. He was a faithful friend of Turtle Creek Community Church in Kerrville, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents Conrado and Concepcion; daughter Ruth Rodriguez; 3 brothers Manuel, Conrado, Lionel, and sister Aurora Tamez.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Victoria Gutierrez of Kerrville, Texas; son, Guillermo David Gutierrez of Texas; daughter, Silvia Beene and husband James of Kerrvillle, Texas; 3 sisters, Belen Gutierrez of Texas, Blanche de Sela of Texas, Violet Hamilton of CA.; 3 grandchildren, Shelly Rodriguez of Austin, Texas, Coustney Beene of San Antonio, Texas, William Jeffrey Gutierrez of San Antonio, Texas.
In lieu of flowers a memorial can be made to the Ministerial Scholarship Fund at Turtle Creek Community Church, 130 Molina Rd. Kerrville, Texaas 78028. Private family interment.
Memorial service will be held 1pm, Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005 at Turtle Creek Community Church in Kerrville, Texas with Pastor Frankie Enloe officating the services with full Military Honors.
