
Virgil Andrew Lemon at the age of 79 entered into rest on Monday, December 19, 2005 at his home in Ingram, Texas. He was born on January 17, 1926 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Lemon and Lillie Mae Briggs Lemoon. Virgil served in the U.S. Navy during the year 1943 til 1946 he was a cook in the service. While he was in the Navy he was aboard three different ships that were sunk. Virgil went on to become a cabinet maker and he alson built houses for many years and love it. Virgil was a great cook and he loved doing it for his family and friends.
He is survived by his former wife Shirley Strother and his children, Earlene, John, Linez, James, Toby, Lloyd, Ginger, William and Darwin; 27 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many other family members and friends who will miss him.
He is preceded in death by his mother Lillie Mae Hunt, wife Maxine Lemon, brothers and sisters.
Memorial services will be held 7pm, Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005 at Christian Community Church (2300 Memorial Blvd.) Kerrville, Texas with Pastor David Dodge officiating the services.
