Layne E. Stone at the age of 70 died in a Kerrville, Texas care center on Tuesday, January 10, 2006. He was born on March 3, 1935 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Felix Stone,Sr and Violet Elston Stone. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Theatrical Art. Layne was an Artist of dance he owed a dance school in Lake Charles, Louisiana and he was also a teacher of dance. He was a member of the U.S Naveal Ready Reserves, Blue Key Honorary Society, Order of the De Molay, Lake Charles Little Theatre, National Association of Dance and Affiliatad Arts and The National Faculty of N.A.D.A. and a member of the Actors Equity Association and The Screen Actors Guild. Layne is survived by his wife Delaney Stone of Kerrville, Texas; daughter Trair Stone Attaway of Florida; stepchildren Harper Scott Clark of Texas, Emily "Kitty" Clark of Louisiana and Nellie "Mousie" Clark of Florida; 2 nephews and 1 niece. Memorial services will be held 3pm, Friday, January 13, 2006 at the Parson House Chapel in Kerrville, Texas with Rev. Mr. Herbert Willke officiating the services. In lieu of flowers you can make a donations to the National Heart Association.

Layne and I were in school plays together at LaGrange. He was very talented. I am sure he is in good hands now. My heart goes out to Layne's family.
