1925 - 2006
Hollie Gene Brown at the age of 80 passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006 at his home in Harper, Texas. Hee was born on Aug. 8, 1925 in Pentwater, Michigan to Andrew Brown and Mary Gollenbeck Brown. Hollie served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was a long distance Truck driver and he worked for Stine's Lumber Company in Fredericksburg. Buz married Ila June Bussinson July 12, 1943 in Covington, Kentucky. He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Kerrville, Texas.
Buz is survived by his wife of 62 years Ila Brown of Harper, Texas; son Donald Brown and wife Sondra of Michigan; daughters Ruthann Parker of Harper, Texas, Linda Sims and husband William of Texas and Susan Wilson of Harper, Texas; sister Laura Hayward of Michigan; 20 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren and many other family members and friends will miss him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Mary Brown, 3 brothers and 7 sisters.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Harper Firedepartment.
Memorial Services will be at a later date.
