Raymon Ralph Thompson at the age of 82 passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006 at the Kerrville, Texas VA hospital. He was born on Jan. 19, 1924 in DeLeon, Texas to B.C. Thompson & Lillie Glenn Thompson. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during World War II. Raymond married Patricia Jones on November 15, 1964 in Carson City, Nevada. He worked many years in a granite mill.
He is preceded in death by his parents Brewer Cornelius Thompson and Lillie Catherine Glenn Thompson; brothers Lenard Thompson, Lee Roy "Bill" Thompson, Cecil Thompson and J.R. Thompson; sisters Verora Goodwin and Vestafen "Tom" Stacy; son Ray Gene "Dub" Thompson.
Raymon is survived by his wife of 42 years Patricia Ann Thompson of Kerrville, Texas; sister Mary Ozella Moore of DeLeon, Texas; sons Rocky Thompson and wife Janet of Killeen, Texas, Kenneth Thompson and wife Teresa of Mason, Texas and Johnny Thompson and wife Nancy of California; daughter Rebecca Blackwell and husband Larry of Oklahoma; grandchildren Summer Blackwell of Kerrville, Sarah Blackwell of Mansfeild, Cody Lively of Balinger and Jessica Thompson of Kelleen; great grandchildren Autumn and Miyia both of Kerrville, Texas also many neices, nephews and other family members and friends.
Memorial graveside services will be 2:15 pm, Monday, Feb. 27, 2006 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas with Military honors.
