Lorraine Yvonne Sholund Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1922 - 2006 Lorraine Yvonne Sholund at the age of 83 passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006 at a Kerrville, Texas Hospital. She was born on Aug. 29, 1922 in Duluth, Minnesota to John Sholund and Mable Gustffson Sholund. Lorraine served in the U.S. Army during World War II. She taught English to the Koreans and Korean to others. She worked with computers for many years. Lorraine is survived by brother Dale Sholund in CA,; a niece Pam Keeth of San Antonio, Texas and many other family memberes and friends. Memorial graveside services will be held 9:45 am, Thursday, March 2, 2006 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.

This is Mats writing again from Sweden. I now have another email address and hope with this message to be able to get in contact with some of my relatives in the US. In 1966 I was fortunate to meet John Sholund when he visited us in Sweden, and later on I also met the other two Sholund brothers Lennart and Ingemar. These three brother were sons of Johan and Margaretha Sholund who emigrated from Sweden in beginning of 1900. Johan Sholund was my grandfather´s brother. My grandfathers name was Oscar Sholund. So my mother Ingrid was a first cousin to John, Ingemar and Len, and Lorraine and and all here siblings in US are my second cousins. And now I would like get in contact with all cousins over there. I´m now a retired man and have all the time in the world to correspond. Love from Mats & family.

Dear Lorraine, this message is written to you from a second cousin in Sweden. My name is Mats Boustedt and I happened to find this site when I was looking for any Sholund- relative on web. I'm so sorry I didn't have the opportunity to meet you when you were alive. But I was fortunate to meet your father and his two brothers Lennart and Ingemar. In 1966 I met your father John in my parents home up in the north of Sweden. Other dear visits from US is your brother John Robert who came to visit us in 1992. You see my grandfather Oscar Sholund and your grandfather Eric Johan Sholund were brothers. That makes us second cousins. Dear Lorraine, may you rest in peace. Love from Mats & family.
