John Jerry Mogford passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006 at his home in Hunt, Texas. He was born on March 22, 1934 in Kerrville, Texas to John Mogford and Delia Baker Mogford. John served in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean war. He married Connie Paine. He worked many years as a carpenter.
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Delia Mogford, first wife Joyce Pape Mogford, sister Arleen Daley and a son Ron Ritter.
John is survived by his wife of 30 years Connie Mogford of Hunt, Texas; sister Nola Terry of Center Point, Texas; brother David and wife Joyce of Atlanta, Georgia; sister in law Kay Wells of Ingram, Texas; daughter Donna and husband Eddie Liesman of Comfort, Texas; sons Dan and wife Donna Ritter of Sanron, South Carolina and Tom and wife Jennifer of Cedar Park, Texas and many grandchildren Billie Joe Burkhalter and husband Mark, Lesley JOhn Lackey, John David (JD) Ritter, Carl Ritter, Milissa Ritter, Levi Washburn, Jaden Thomas Ritter, Victoria Ritter, Kelly Rushing, Anthony Ritter, and Brandi Albers; great grand children Chris, Randi and Codney Burkhalter, Sierra and Wesley Rushing, Aubrey Ritter, Joshua Ritter and William Micheal; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and other family members and friends who lofed him dearly.
There will be a memorial ger together at his home in Hunt, Texas on Sunday, March 5, 2006 at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers there will be a memorial fund ser up at the memorial service.
