Kirby G. Hurst who at the age of 49 passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2006 at a Kerrville hospital. He was born on May 28, 1956 in Kerrville, Texas to Jones Albert Hurst and Neita Sue Fletcher Hurst. He served in the U.S Navy during 1976 til 1981. Kirby married Jane Lippens on July 4, 1984 in Escanaba, Michigan. He was a member of the Long Horns and ABATE. His great passion was riding his Harley Davidson. Kirby worked 30 years with the water department. He is preceded in death by his parents Jones & Neita Hurst. Kirby is survived by his wife of 21 years Jane Hurst of Kerrville, Texas; brother Fletcher Hurst of Houston, Texas; sister Linda Lee Hurst of Dallas, Texas; his best frines his beloved pets Lady Bug, Roy D Baxteer and Alex and a hoist of friends. Memorial services will be 2pm, Thursday, March 30, 2006 at the The Church of the Hills in Ingram, Texas with Pastor Randy Simmnons officiationg the services with the U.S. Navy and the DAV Color Guard presenting Military Honors.

I grew up and ran around with Kirby and Wayne at Buckner Childrens Home in Dallas Texas.I hadn't seen him since he went in the Navy but he was like a brother to many of Us from Buckner. He was fun to be around I and many of the Ex's are sadden of his passing. I never met You Jane but I know that You lost one Good Man and I a fellow Buckner Brother.
