Edwin L SorensonEdwin L. Sorenson at the age of 82 went to meet his Lord on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at his home in Kerrville, Texas. He was born on January 11, 1924 in Sinton, Texas to Clarence Sorenson and Bessie Brasher Sorenson. Edwin married Katherine Ball on March 5, 1946 in Corpus Christ, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, he was in the serve during the time of 1943 til 1949. Edwin was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kerrville and he was a deacon. They moved to Kerrville, Texas in 1996. He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Bessie Sorenson, sister Vernel Cheatum and husband E. L., brother in law Gene Corley. Edwin is survived by his wife of 60 years Katherine Sorenson of Kerrville, Texas; 2 daughters Glenda Hudgins and husband Clifton of Virginia and Wanda Davis and husband Steven of Ingram, Texas; son Roger Sorenson and wife Gisele of Kerrville, Texas; 2 brothers Dwane Sorenson and wife Mildred of Corpus Christ, Texas and Larry Sorenson and wife Norma of Dallas, Texas; 2 sisters Marie Corley and Minnie Ball and husband Don both of Victoria, Texas; 9 grandchildren Darrin Hudgins and wife Angie, Nathan Hudgins, Daniel Hudgins, Edwin Sorenson all of Virginia, E-4 Spec. Ben Sorenson of Georgia, Jason Davis and wife Virginai of Waxahachie, Texas, Justin Davis of Ingram, Texas, Candace Sorenson of Kerrville, Texas and Stephanie Davis of Ingram, Texas; 8 great grandchildren Hailey Davis, Kayla Hudgins, Hunter Davis Skylar Davis, Shiloh Davis all of Waxahachie, Texas, Kayla Hudgins, Emma Hudgins and Adam Hudgins all of Virginia and many of family members and friends who love him will miss him. Military burial will be held 9:15 am, Friday, April 21, 2006 at Ft. Sam National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. Memorial services will be held 1pm, Friday, April 21, 2006 at the First Baptist Church of Kerrville, Texas with Pastor Harris officiating the servces. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church of Kerrville Scholarship fund.

Memories, lots of memories. I like to think of our hearts as being like a camera. It can take pictures that no one else can see but you. I know you have lots of pictures memories of your loved one.
