Ross Melton Allee at the age of 57 passed away on Friday, May 26, 2006 at a Kerrville VA hospital. He was born on September 3, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas to Phil Allee and Barbara Barrow Allee. He was the oldest of four brothers. He grow up in the San Antonio area and attended MacArthur High School. Ross served in the U.S. Army the year of 1966. He lived most of his adult years in South-Central Texas and worked primarily in the construction industry. He owned and operated Allee Roofing Company in San Antonio in the 1970s. Ross loved to read and encouraged others to experience the imaginative journeys that he would take in his books. He had a wonderful sense of humor that was infectious to those around him. The kindness that he showed to people in need was one of his most endearing characteristics, whether it was a close friend or a complete stranger. It was evident as we visited him in the hospital how much the Doctors and Nurses cared about him. Ross became a counselor to other patients at the Kerrville V.A. hospital. He had a fondness for animals that demonstrated how kindhearted he really was. Ross was baptized at the Llano Cowboy Church on September 11, 2005.
