1925 - 2006
William Ellery Cowan at the age of 81 passed away Saturday, July 22, 2006 at a local hospital. He was born on May 15, 1925 in San Antonio, Texas to John Cowan and Ruby Hassell Cowan. William served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1943 till 1946. He married Jennifer Hassell on November 233, 1973 in San Antonio, Texas. William did many things in his life like owen his on restaurant, police officer, military and many other things. He was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church in Kerrville, Texas and the Masonic Lodge.
He is preceded in death by his parents John & Ruby Cowan.
William is survived by his wife Jennifer Cowan of Kerrville, Texas; son george Geisen and wife Jana of Center Point, Texas; daughters Cindy Johnson and husband Curtis of Pasadena, Texas, Stephanie Karam and husband Isaac of McAllen, Texas and Natlie Cowan and Fiance Joe Santoy of McAllen, Texas; 5 grandchildren, many other family members and friends will miss him.
Interment will be 10 am, Saturday, July 29, 2006 at San Jose Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas with Military Honors.
