.jpg) James Edward Mote at the age of 65 passed away Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006 at his home in Ingram, Texas. He was born on March 22, 1941 in Blossom, Texas to Frank Mote and Madeline Caldwell Mote. James served in the U.S. Marines during Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of the 720 Club and the VFW. James poineered one of the first Sober Living Homes in remote areas. He dedicated his live to lending a helping hand with the AA community. James was a member of the Java Pump which provided safe entertainment for the community. He served as president on the board of directors for the 720 Club for serveral terms. James never neets a stranger and never turned down someone in need of help, he always believed in second chances. He had a strong faith in God and passed it on to others. He touched the lives of so many.. James was a caring, generous and inspirational person who will be remembered forever. Thank you James for giving us so many wonderful memories to cherish. I hope that you are with herbie and Toby Walker today.
He is preceded in death by his parents Frand and Madeline Mote, brother Frank Mote Jr...
James is survived by 3 daughters Lisa Paul, Sherry Geisler both of California and Kathryn Mote; brother A.L. Mote and wife Dorothy of San Antonio, Texas; uncle Douglas Caldwell of Irving, Texas; nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren; girl friend Debbie Mc Alester of Ingram, Texas and many friends who love him will miss him.
Memorial services will be 1pm, Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006 at Wright's Funeral Parlor in Kerrville, Texas with Military honors. Interment will be at Ft. Sam National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas at a later date.

We want to express our condolences to Lanier and Dorothy and the other family members of James. I remember James as a small boy coming to my parents home nearly every Sunday and what good times we had. May God continue to be with his family in this time of sorrow and loss. A man who will be truely missed,he gave his time to the ones who still suffered providing them with shelter,advice,finical assistance,and lots of love.James offtened called the ones he help his kids and he meant it as a true father would.James was a freind and a supporter of not only my soberity but the Double Trouble Race Team as well.I was honored to serve on his Board of Directors for Re-Mote Acreas Sober Living Houses.A true friend he was and I will look forward to seeing him again in that BIG MEETING IN THE SKY

I want to express my condolences to the family. I was with his wife Mary when she passed away that day on RR 783, and I did title work for him on his Harper properties. I am sorry to hear of his passing.
