Alan H. Fisher formly of Cedar Falls, IA. at the age of 66 passed away on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006 at his home in Kerrville, Texas. He was born on Aug. 13, 1940 in Correctionville, Iowa to Authur Fisher and Dorotha MesKemin. Alan served in the U.S. Navy during 1962 till 1966 and then went on to serve in the Naval Reserves. He retired from John Deere after 30 years. Alan married Donna Baldwin. He was active in horseshoe pitching, bowling and loved his coffee groups.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son Michael, and brother Wade.
Alan is survived by his wife of 33 years Donna Fisher of Kerrville, Texas; 4 sons Gary of Lake Wylie, SC, Stephen and wife Kris of Cedar Falls, IA, Matthew and wife Tina of Tama, IA, and Christopher and wife Laura of Kerrville, TX; daughter Michelle Rathmell and husband Lon of Colorado Springs, CO; 13 grandchildren; 2 brothers Dale and wife Dorothy and Arlos and wife Tempest; sister Darline all of Cedar Falls, IA, many nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends who love him will miss him.
A celebration of life and gathering for the family will be held at the CF Amvets at 20th and Irving St. on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006 beginning at 1pm. Military rights ceremony will be held at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to Donna Fisher, P. O. Box 291105 , Kerrville, Texas 78028; donations will be made to Kerrville Hospice or Kerrville Cancer Treatment Center.
