To Bea, Matthew, Joella, Jenny and Kevin...and all the Murphys,
Cousin Terry was a warm and cozy member of my family circle, growing up in the Heights. We Smiths spent a lot of time at the Murphy home, and Ter was absolutely the best at making peanut butter sandwiches. He didn't get much limelight, but then who did in all of our big households? I wish I had seen more of all of you these past years, but just wanted to say that he was much loved by us all. I will be thinking of you on November 18th....

I love that picture of Terry! I remember with that twinkle in his eyes and that low, head-down chuckle...much like Jack's....or Rosella's? He seemed like a patriarch to me...He was one of the ' elders' and was a pillar in the family , by example in the church. I also remember feeling so happy for him to have found Bea! He's left a beautiful mark on the world...

Dearest Bea & Family:
What a shock it was for me to learn of Terry's illness and subsequent turn of events to Hospice care.
I always feel so helpless in times
such as this but was encouraged when I telephoned you and you seemed, at least from the tone of
your voice, to be at peace with the situation as if to say that you had accepted God's will. It is my prayer that you will continue to draw strength from the
Father who is the only source of
peace and sgrength that surpasses all understanding.
I am thankful that you have such a
close loving family for support as
well. I hope that uou feel comfortable in calling upon me in
times of need as well.
Terry seemed so devoted to you, and such a loving, caring person.
He shall surely be missed by all who knew him. I just regret that I didn't spend more time with the
two of you. Please let me know
when you return home.
May God's blessings be sufficient
in this time of sorrow.
Lovingly,
Nita
