Robert Layfatee Fisher at the age of 86 passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at his home in Ingram, Texas. He was born on August 14, 1920 in Edna, Texas to Parker M. Fisher and Sallie L. Maben Fisher. Robert married Mary L. Wallace on Dec. 20, 1940 in Rotan, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army. Robert retired from Bell Helicopter. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Robert is survived by his wife of 65 years Mary Fisher of Ingram, Texas; daughter Aurelia Carney and husband Irvin of Ozona, Texas; son John R. Fisher and wife Frances of Manvel, Texas; sister Polly Mixon of Coldwater, Texas; grandchildren Susan Monnat and husband Scott of Brian, Texas and Robert Edward Fisher of Houston, Texas and many other family members and friends who love him will miss him.
