Louis was my dad. The Pastor said at the memorial that, “Louis never met a stranger”. That to me is accurate. My dad enjoyed people- people he just met or people he knew for years. He was a true “people-person”. His friends were vital in his life. I wanted to say that I appreciate the condolences from each individual that attended the memorial or has written a message. And, yes, I agree, he could really entertain with his stories! (Even when my brother and I were little kids, he would have us laughing hysterically over his tales about things he did when he was a young boy.) That is one of the things I will miss about my dad.

I forgot to add something, I heard him once called the dancing bear. Such a giant among men yet quiet patient, understanding and gentle when he needed to be. So, Dance on Dancing Bear, dance on. I am saddened that I will not be able to see him at another "gathering" at the Bear's cabin yet priveledged to have that as a memory.

Peetz family: I am so sorry to hear about your loss. It stunned me when a friend told me about it today. Louis was one of the men instrumental in me being an avid fisherman. Something we all shared was a love for the water. I met him through Jim Atkins, Jack North, Bobby Brown etc... My limited exposure to him changed, molded and added shape to my life. Please rest soundly knowing he touched so many lives and is resting peacefully in a wonderful place. There are plans for him I assure you.

To the family of Louis Peetz: I am so sorry to learn of the loss of your son, brother, father and grandfather. Louis and I were friends for over 40 years and he will be missed by many. His wonderful sense of humor and love of fishing his beloved lower Laguna Madre were his trade marks. He has truly gone home - God speed Mr. Fish Hawk.

I will always remember Louis for his great sense of humor, his easy going and pleasant personality, and his ability to tell stories that always held your interest. He will continue to be part of all hunting camps and fishing camps through the many stories that he told all of his friends through the years. I have benefited from being his friend for the 35 years that I knew him. May he rest in peace at the place he loved most, his fishing camp.

Louis wasn’t just a guy who took me fishing. Even though I only knew him these last five years of his life, his legend will always stand as tall as he did. I loved his stories, the way he told them, the way he laughed, even his serious fishing side. Louis reminds me of a rugged cowboy with a glare of wisdom, his smile was more than just a sweet-talkers’ charm it was his calling card of warmth. Whenever I picture Louis he is sitting on the front porch of that captivating cabin, feet up, sun setting in the background, and peace runs across his tan face as he talks … of life, people and fishing. When we were there with him, in his moment, in his world - it was good. Everything seemed peaceful at that time, with him, in that place. I know he has found his ultimate peace in His Lord. God Bless you all. May the Lord be with you always. Jennifer Dippel, League City Texas.

To: Family and Friends of Louis Peetz. Louis and I go way back to the AV&F (Arthur Trout and Red-fish) days of selling tube fittings and valves out of Corpus Christi. We had some good times and he will be sorely missed. Peetzy Ho was one of the last of the "Swage-leak good guys"

to the Peetz family: I am so sorry for your loss. Please take comfort in knowing that the bible promises us a resurrection for all our loved ones, as shown at John 5:28-29. So you do have an opportunity of seeing him again. This will take place at God's (Jehovah) new order soon to take place here on earth as described on Matt. 6:9-10 on the Lord's Prayer. Even though it may seem like a far away chance...please read Titus 1:2 where it points out that this is a promise from a God that can NOT lie and based on the conditions on earth that we are experiencing and comparing to the bible book of 2Tim. 3:1-5 we are right at the "door" of such happenings. Again, I am very sorry for your loss and hope that you will have comfort in knowing that we do have the opportunity of seeing him and all our other loved ones that have passed away.
