Dear Family of "Mama Powell"
I have known and loved Mama Powell for over 35 years----she was in the delivery room when my son born in 1974 and I knew her as a nursing collegue at Sid Peterson. She embodied everything that is good in the human spirit and many many newborns have felt her gentle hands as she swaddled and rocked them in the nursery. The world is a better place for her having been here---she always made me smile. I had a chance to visit with her when she was a patient in the emergency room recently and I am so thankful I got to see her---I told her that I loved her very much. I share the sorrow that you feel right now---she was a "Sweetheart!!!
