Joe Hernandez operated the little grocery near Quinlan Creek when I first came to Kerrville(1967) as a young teacher at Tom Daniels. Also I believe Joe worked at Hunt's Grocery for a while. He was always a nice gentle man whom I enjoyed seeing as years went by.
My prayers and sympathy go out to you in your loss. Your wonderful memories will sustain you.

To Joe's family,
What memories I have of Joe. All good memories. Going all the way
back to the grocery across from
the old Post Office on Earl Garrett Street.
May the Lord give you peace and comfort.

Sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I do remember the times stopping at your Dad's store and how pleasant he always was. I know he was very proud of you and the success you have made of your life as well as the man you have become. I am sorry to not be able to be at the services to celebrate his life. You and your family will be in my prayers. If you ever get to Hong Kong let me know and you will have a place to stay. Keep in touch and God bless.
Your friend,
Jim

Dear Roy and Joe,
My most heartfelt sympathy at this time of great loss. Your dad is part of my earliest memories. Such a sweet spirit and brilliant smile!! And he was so very proud (rightfully so) of his sons.
May God comfort you as you celebrate your father's life and grieve his passing.
Wanda
