Charles Alton GaryCharles "Chuck" Alton Gary at the age of 50 passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2008 with his daughter at his bedside. He was born on June 6, 1957 in Kerrville, Texas to Jack O. Gary and Velma "Sparks" Gary. Chuck served in the U.S. Army from 1974 till 1975. Chuck was a boy scout, and a FFA member and loved it when he was a boy. He worked for Ingram & Hunt Gas Company, Truck Stops and a cable company in Ft. Stockton. Chuck loved to spend time with his grandchildren, hunt, fish, trapping, listening to oldies and he was a well known rebel. He moved to Kerrville from Van Horn, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, and paternal grandparents. Chuck is survived by his daughter Shannon Castaneda and husband Brian of Kerrville; 2 grandchildren Sydney and Brian Castaneda both of Kerrville; 2 brothers Randy Gary and Otis Gary; 2 step children Melanie Reyes and Christopher Reyes both of Ft. Worth, Texas and many step grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends who love him will miss him. Memorial services will be held at 4pm, Saturday, June 14, 2008 at the Sparks Family Reunion in Hunt, Texas (140 School Lane). In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Wright's Funeral Parlor "1913 Junction Hwy., Kerrville, TX. 78028" to help with the families expenses. The family would like to thank Vista Care for all that they were able to do for Chuck.

So many tears cannot express the loss. He was a spectacular friend at a time when loss was too unbearable to carry. Shannon, your dad gave me strength to soar when I had no strength left. Always, Mona
