
Kermit "Red" Fiedler passed away on Friday, May 30, 2008 at a Fredericksburg care center. He was born on April 18, 1928 in Fredericksburg, Texas on the Morris Ranch to Ben Fiedler and Ella "Juenke" Fiedler. Red served in the U.S. Air Forces from 1948 till 1960. He was a member of the VFW post 1480 and the past post commander of Kerrville and a life member of the American Legion 208. After the military he worked in the construction business as a heavy equipment operator. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers Ira, Norman, Oliver, John, and Roman and one son Kevin Fedler.
Red is survived by a son Stephen Fiedler of Ingram; 4 daughter Susan Rabke and husband Douglas of Federicksburg, Texas, Cynhtia Kellner of Snyder, Texas , Selina Walker of Ingram and Kelly Heineman of Center Point; 1 brother Francis Fiedler; 3 sisters Mary Louise Bernhard, Agnes Klaenerboth of Fredericksburg and Annie Mae Store of OK; 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many other family members and friends who love him will miss him.
Visitation will be held 10 till 6 pm, on Monday, June 2, 2008 at Wright's Funeral Parlor in Kerrville.
Military graveside services will be held 2:30pm, Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Ft. Sam National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
