Dear Helen: Please accept my sincerest condolences. I know how much your loved John and this shows through your family and grandchildren. He will never be forgotten and your heart will always be sad. However, I know he will be with you in spirit and although you will not be able to see or touch him, he will be with you for all things are possible through our Lord. Peace to you and your family. To the Mercer "kids",
We were sorry to see in the paper today that your father had passed away. What happy memories we have of him from Indian Princess' and Covenant Church. He always had a twinkle in his eye and was a bit of a tease - our children loved him. He was a joy to be around for adults as well. We were saddened when your parents left West Lafayette but will always remember all of you with great fondness. I called Marsha Heslin this morning to let her know of your father's death. She will pass it on to her children as well. Her son, Paul, is retiring from the Army and moving on to Barlow St in WL in August. He's looking forward to being back in the old neighborhood. Your loss is great - we'll be praying for you.

I had the priviledge of knowing your mother and your father when I had Details & Mail in Ingram. I also helped your dad with his business (he had an office phone that I answered for him.) I also picked up their mail while they traveled. I feel like I know you kids - your Mother and Father were very, very proud of you and loved you all so much. I admired and respected your father - his business knowledge, his happy, full laugh, sweet eyes and his positive spirit. I'm so sorry for your loss. I occasionally bumped into him around town and was always a better person from being in his space. Jan Holden 830/895-5529
