Raymond William Flowers at the age of 56 went to be with his Lord on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008 at a Kerrville hospital. He was born on Oct. 25, 1951 in Bowie, Texas to Richard Flowers and Sondra "Henslee" Flowers. Raymond served in the U.S. Army from 1971 until 1977 serving during the Vietnam era. He moved to the Hill Country in 1996 to work as a counselor at La Hacienda. Ray later accomplished his lifelong goal of becoming a senior chaplain. He is preceded in death by his son Travis Ray, parents and a brother Richard.
Raymond is survived by his wife Rebbecca Flowers of Ingram, Texas; son Stephen Flowers; 6 grandchildren Anthony, Alyssa, Samantha, Austin, Keiryn and Amanda and many other family members and friends who love him will miss him.
Celebration of life will be held 10 am, Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008 at Church of the Hills in Ingram with Randy Simmons officiating the services also full military honors.
