1935 - 2008

Patricia Ann Purvis at the age of 73 passed away on Wednesday, October 08, 2008 at a Kerrville hospital from cancer. She was born on July 10, 1935 in Lufkin, Texas to L.H. Pervis and Frances "Turner" Pervis. Pat moved to Kerrville when she was a small child because her father who was a Texas Ranger transferred to Kerrville. She graduated from Tivy High school in 1953, then she attended Schreiner University in 1999. Pat worked in Houston, Texas for many Lawyers as a court reporter then she moved back to Kerrville and became a bookkeeper for the Poorman Plumbing Company. She was a member of Norte Dame Catholic Church of Kerrville. Pat married Melvin Kott Sr in Kerrville on July 1952. She loved to sew and crochet for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pat "Dbl G" was loved by all her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren and frost children. She is preceded by her parents L.H and Frances Purvis, brother Walter Charles "Tuffy" Purvis and husband Melvin Kott Sr. Pat "Dbl. G" is survived by her loving children Deborah Poorman and husband Hal, Mel Kott Jr and wife Jeannie and Mark Kott all of Kerrville; brother Hardy "Butch" Purvis and wife Ann of West Texas; 15 grandchildren Hank, Jackie, Jason, Nicole, Daniel, Larissa, Walter, Corina, Llaneli, Maria all Poorman, Trisha and Karl Adkins, Buck and Scott Kott and Greg Grinnan; 7 great grandchildren Kayla, Haylee, Dylan, Tyler Poorman, Ashleigh Morse, Kody and Kendall Adkins; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many other family members and friends who love her will miss her. Memorial services will be held 3pm, Sunday, October 12, 2008 at Southern Oaks Baptist Church in Kerrville with Doctor Joe Taylor officiating the services.

I am sorry for the loss of your beloved Mother and please know that my thoughts will be with you. Her memory will forever live in my heart as I think of her looking up and laughing with us; jumping and dancing around as young girls will do. Love, Jan
