Aletha Irene Doran "Rene" at the age of 79 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 09, 2009 at a Kerrville care center. She was born on Aug. 2, 1929 in Upland, PA. to Clarence Worrell and Aletha May "Steere". Rene owned and operated a Motel most of her life. She has been a resident of Kerr County since 1978. Rene loved to paint, sew, cook and photography. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles William Doran Sr in 1994, one sister and 2 brothers.
Aletha is survived by her children Charles Doran Jr, Robert Doran and wife Cynthia and Lawrence Doran all of Kerrville; 2 grandchildren Noah Doran and Amber Chupp, 2 great grandchildren Samuel and Rachel Chupp and many other family members and friends.
Memorial services will be held 10am, Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Calvary Temple Church in Kerrville with Pastor Burt Wimberly officiating the services. Burial will be at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio at a late date.
