Patsy Ruth ShortPatsy Ruth Short at the age of 76 went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 17, 2009 at her home. She was born on November 30, 1932 in Vernon, Texas to James and Mary McIntosh. Patsy married Herbert Short. She worked at Proctor and Gamble as a clerk and retired after 35 years. Patsy and Herbert moved to Kerrville in 1994 he passed away in 2004. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She was a 51 year member of the Eastern Star and a Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband. Patsy is survived by her daughter Candace Larue of Denver, CO; 2 step children Carol McBride of San Jose, CA and Grey Short of Poulsbo, WA; grandchildren Deborah Bishopp, Jeffrey McBride, Michael Short, Richard Short; great grandchildren Garret Bishopp, Trent Bishopp, Hunter Short, Camden Short, Carolyn McBride and Norah McBride; brother Tommy K McIntosh and wife Nancey of Leakey, TX and many other family members and friends who love her will miss her. Eastern Star Memorial services will be held 6pm, Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Wright's Funeral Parlor. Celebration of Life Memorial services will be held 11am on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Pastor Sherry Strand officiating the services. Interment will be at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio at a late date.
