Jack  Arnold Jr.Jack Arnold Jr. at the age of 87 passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at his home in Kerrville, Texas. He was born on July 12, 1921 in Long Branch, NJ to Jack and Jane "Demmerle" Arnold Sr. Jack graduated Red Bank, NJ high school in 1939, then went on to Rice Institute and graduated in 1948 with a BS in chemical Engineering. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1943 until 1945 with the 15th command in Italy as a Meteorologist and then the 37th as a Photo Recon Squadron. Jack married Gail Burhanna on April 07, 1951 in Oaklyn , NJ. and they moved to Kerrville in 1981. He worked for Exxon Chemicals Americas in Houston Texas until he retired in Jan of 1981. Jack worked 35 years in Sales, Advertising, and Mfg. Coordination. After retirement he worked at H & R Block and 6 yrs at Broken Arrow Ranch and 6 yrs of volunteer work doing Publicity and Newsletter Editing at the Cowboy Artists of America Museum. He was a member of Ship-in-the-Bottle Association of America and the Unitarian Universalist Church in Kerrville. He is preceded in death by his parents. Jack is survived by his wife of 58 yrs Gail Arnold of Kerrville; 2 sons John Arnold of Italy and Robert Arnold of Massachusetts; and many other family members and friends who love him will miss him. Memorial services at a later date.
