Donnie G. Mize at the age of 64 passed away on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009 at the local hospital. He was born on Aug. 06, 1945 in Iredell, Texas to Oscar and Wille Mize. Donnie served in the U.S. Army from 1966 until 1968 during Vietnam. He loved to fish, invent things and he wrote a few books Out Of the Horses Mouth and a few more. Donnie was a member of the Iredell Baptist Church and the VFW, he as been in Hunt for 5 years. He is preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers.
Donnie is survived by his wife Nancy Mize of Hunt, Tx; 2 sons Jonathan Mize and wife Julissa of Irving, Tx and Justin Mize and wife Jodi of Midland, Tx; daughter Jordan Mize of Pleasanton, Tx; 2 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many other family members and friends who love him will miss him.
Graveside services will be held 1pm, Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009 at Mitchell Cemetery in Iredell, Texas with military honors.
