Ben had a BIG heart and made a lasting impression on those who knew him. Filled with laughter and positive outlook, he made folks smile. "What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." ~ Helen Keller...We love you Ben

It's an honor to pay tribute to a fellow Texan who served his country in the Armed Forces.
Every American should be very grateful to those men and women whose service helped keep us free.
May the Lord comfort you in your loss, y la bendicion de Dios para todo la familia.
Sincerely,
Joseph Benham, Chaplain
Hill County Chapter,
Sons of the American Revolution

I worked for many for what seemed to be years or actually I should say that I did Ben's work for him for many years. Many times throughout the days I get to carry the message and the spirit that Ben gifted me with. Laughter and kindness has been my close and dear friends strengths and these qualities will live forever in the hearts, minds and spirit of all who have had the pleasure of knowing the spirit of this man.
That being said Ben still owes me $10.00 and a blueberry pancake breakfast and I am guessing I will have to let that slide. Ben I Love You always. Giga-Waba-Min = You Will See I. Tobias A. Shotley

I worked with Ben at Hondo and Starlite. I admired him and will miss him dearly. Please be proud of the people he did help during the time he spent as a counselor.

Ben, you touched my heart and the heart of many others. You worked hard on the path of life striving for peace and to pass it on. You earned my respect and love on so many levels over the years. So many memories that will be with me forever and with smiles. BuenoBye.

Ben, You are already missed. What a special man you were; touching many hearts with your courage, warmth, understanding and determination. I am adding a special poem from the "Little Prince" that is a reflection of your character...
In one of the stars
I shall be living
In one of them
I shall be laughing
And so it will be
As if all the stars
Were laughing
When you look
At the sky at night
~ The Little Prince
