It's my privilege to recognize and honor Mr. Haapala's service in the Armed Forces of our nation. Every American should take note of, and be grateful for, the millions of men and women who have worn the uniforms of our country. They preserved our freedoms here at home and liberated countless millions of people in other areas of the world. You in his family can be very proud of his legacy as an American veteran. Sincerely, Joseph Benham, Chaplain and Past President of the Hill Country Chapter of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution in Kerrville.
