Barbara Shine Kenley at the age of 81 passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at a local hospital. She was born on June 18, 1929 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Myron and Iris Vasterling. Barbara married Jimmy Ray Kenley in Kerrville, Texas. She has been living in Kerrville for 63 years and worked as a nurse's aid most of her life. Barbara enjoyed shopping and watching her cooking shows, but she loved being with her family most of all. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Jimmy Ray Kenley Sr, 2 sons Jimmy Ray Kenley Jr and Larry Petmecky.
Barbara is survived by her loving children Jimmy Petmecky and wife Virginia of Mississippi, DeWayne Kenley and girl friend Diana of Kerrville, Kathy Henley of Ingram, Laura Hodges and husband Gordon of Llano and Debbie Northern of Houston; brother Lloyd Vasterling of Massachusetts; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many other family members and friends who love her will miss her.
Graveside services will be held 10am, Monday, April 25, 2011 at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville.
