Mr. Moses was without a doubt my most memorable teacher ever, and I will never forget what he taught me, mostly because he would never let me.

I loved Mr. Moses. He was my favorite teacher. What UNT journalism student could ever forget Feature Writing? I walked into that class thinking I knew how to write a great story. Mr. Moses set me straight right away - and then he taught me to write. He was a fabulous teacher and a wonderful, caring person who will be missed. My thoughts are with his family.

Krispen,
Words cannot express my sorrow at learning of Moses' passing. The two of you were so sweet to me when I was going through chemo, and I've tried as best I could to stay connected through the years -- but obviously not well enough if I'm just now learning of his death. Know that you and the rest of the family are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Pill

Roy was a friend when I was a student at UT Arlington. He was a good man who influenced many lives.

Dear Family of Roy,
in 1970/71 I attended Roy's journalism class and he supervised my Shorthorn reporting at UTA. I had just arrived from Germany and things were kind of strange for me, but he guided me gently but firmly throughout the course. The fact that I remember him after 40 years may tell you that the way he taught and the way he acted left a mark on me.
May God bless you.

I just learned of Roy's passing tonight(6/22/2011). Was a student of his at UTA and a friend in later life. Will miss him and our almost daily email communications. Thanks for the chance you gave me, Roy.
