1941 - 2011
 Carol Conklin at the age of 70 passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at her home in Kerrville Texas. She was born on April 8, 1941 in Huntington, WV to Delbert and Elouise Fern "Siders" Huffman. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Harold J. Conklin. Her grandchildren knew her as Gram.
Carol is survived by her children Debbie Adair and husband Johnny of Kerrville, TX, James Elmore of Kerrville, TX, Larry Drake of Ingram, TX, Paul Drake of Utah, Gary Drake Jr of SD and Donnie Elmore and wife Kim of Canton, GA; many nieces, nephews, grandkids, great grandkids, great great grandkids and many friends who love her will miss her.
Visitation will be held 10 am until 6pm, Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Wright's Funeral Parlor in Kerrville Texas. Family will greet guest from 4pm until 6pm at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be held at a later date in Tucson AZ at South Lawn Cemetery. |

Carol, you have always been such a good and loyal friend to me. I have been very blessed to be able to call you my friend for the past 37 years and I am certainly going to miss your phone calls, your beautiful handmade cards, and hearing you call me "Baby Girl". Even though I will miss you, I trust that you are now with your beloved Harold and your Mom and Dad. My sincere condolences go out to Debbie, James, Gary, Paul and Larry and to all of your grandkids, great grandkids, to ALL of your family and your friends. Gram~ GOD needed an angel to accomplish a mission! he searched the world to find the perfect one! for he found a perfect angel and said you are my angel you are the one!! you have a mission he has given you to watch over all your kids, grandkids, great grandkids, great great grandkids, and the more to come!!
