RV Rich, 80, of Center Point, Texas, passed away peacefully August 16, 2011 in Kerrville, Texas.
"Rich" was born March 7, 1931 in Anna, Texas and later moved to Oklahoma. He joined the U.S. Military July 8, 1947. Rich served in the U.S. Army Air Corp/Air Force as well as the U.S. Navy. Working as a aircraft engineer, Rich flew PBM and P2V aircraft. He retired in Texas after serving his country for over 20 years.
Rich had a love for reading and was passionate about sharing all that he knew, especially with his grandchildren who know him as "Pap". Family was always important to him and he took pride in his ancestry and family history. He also always had a joke to tell that was sure to put a smile on your face.
Rich was preceded in death by his mother, father and 5 siblings.
He is survived by one brother and one sister; numerous nieces and nephews; his wife Kathryn, his son Robert Rich and wife Dina; his daughters, Mary Southwick and husband Rick, and Terry Morrow; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; along with many numerous friends and family members.
Celebration Of his life will be held 11:30 am, Friday, August 19, 2011 at(1446 Elm Pass rd. Center Point Texas) with Military honors.
