
Ralph A. Mangham at the age of 91 passed away in the company of friends and family on Friday, February 24, 2012 in Kerrville, Texas. He was born on August 10, 1920 in Melvin Texas - the son of Levi "Bud" Alex Mangham and Leona Faye Dudley Mangham. Ralph grew up primarily in Menard, Texas, but traveled often during his youth with his parents as his father was a musician. On August 25, 1962, he was married to Margaret Colbath Landry Mangham in Kerrville, Texas.
Ralph is survived by his wife Margaret Mangham of Kerrville Texas; 3 daughters Janice Faye Schindler and husband Rick, Leanna Louise Robbins and husband Donald and Leona Faye Creech and husband Warren; 2 sons Richard Landry and wife Novell and Jimmidan Landry and wife Laura;12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends who love him will miss him. He was preceded in death by his parents as named above and 3 siblings, Boyd Mangham, Alfred Mangham and Nina Mangham Helms, 2 sons George Ralph Mangham and Gene Allen Mangham and 1 grandchild Tommy Gene Mangham.
Blessed with mechanical aptitude, Ralph worked for many years in the field of auto repair. Longtime residents of Kerrville will remember that he owned and managed RAM's Garage on Water ST. Later he worked in the Building Management Department at the Kerrville
V.A. Hospital, retiring from there in 1983.
On April 17, 1949, Ralph was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He volunteered for the building of several Kingdom Halls of Jehovah's Witnesses in Kerrville and elsewhere in Texas, and actively participated in the organization's door-to-door ministry. For a number of years Ralph also served as an Elder in the Kerrville West Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and even when his health worsened, he still faithfully attended meetings. At these times, his dependably bright smile and enthusiastic participation in the worship services were always an inspiration and encouragement to his friends and family.
The family would like to extend their thanks and deep appreciation to the members of Peterson Hospice, especially Kay, Jojo, Cathy, Kim, Belinda and Jennifer plus so many others that were so helpful in the care for Ralph.
Memorial services will be held 5pm, Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (621 Ranchero Rd.) with Jimmidan Landry officiating the services.
