Linda Buchanan, 70, passed from this earth to be with the lord Jesus Christ on March 18, 2012. She was born on Jan. 5, 1942, in Leakey, Texas, to Agnes and Alfred Buchanan in a modest home that was full of love. Linda was one of four siblings and had an amazing passion for life, the outdoors and was blessed with a witty sense of humor. She dedicated 60 years of her life to taking care of her parents in Leakey, Texas, and all three were laborers of Jesus Christ. After the passing of her parents, Linda moved to Kerrville, where she spent the last 10 years of her life with family.
During the last years of Lindas life, she fought a courageous battle with cancer and was finally called home to rest and be with our lord Jesus Christ. Linda will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by two sisters, Ava Christenson of Arkansas and Norene and husband, Danny Gregory also of Arkansas; and one brother, Sidney and wife, Mary Buchanan of Kerrville. There also are many nephews, nieces, extended family and neighbors who spent many long days with Linda fishing, shooting, and smiling. Linda was full of life and never met a stranger.
Many thanks go to Doyle and Cathy Brooks and their children for their support and love for the Buchanan family without question or pause for many, many years.
Many thanks to the family and to the health care professionals that cared for and supported Linda in recent years.
At her request, no service will be held at this time, however a semi-private service will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
