Beloved wife and mother, Pauline Heim Nee Nee at the age of 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 22, 2012 in a New Braunfels, Texas at Kirwood Manor Care Center surrounded by her family. She was born Jan 31, 1923 in Austin, Texas to Irving and Nannie Elizabeth (Farquhar) Berry. She married Loyd Ervin Heim on Sept 26, 1947 in Tulia, Texas. They loved to travel miles together to enjoy different country music shows. They are members of Sunrise Baptist Church of Kerrville and the American Humane Society. She was Nee Nee to her grandchildren and was the happiest playing the guitar for them. She also loved to cook and teach the children to do so. She collected thousands of music albums and loved to listen to country music.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Elo Preiss; sister Estelle Freeman and grandson in law Layton Smith.
Pauline is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Loyd Heim of New Braunfels; daughters, Doris Cox and husband David of Kerrville, Betty Welwood of New Braunfels; sister Nannie Mae Galle of San Antonio; grandchildren Starla Surprenant and husband Rick of New Braunfels, Twila Smith of Seguin, Anthony Pitts Jr and wife Dianna of New Braunfels, Amanda Stewart and husband Jody of New Braunfels, Suzette Ingersoll and husband Chris of Sugarland, Nanette Magrill and husband Michael of Austin; Also 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchild. Pauline will be loved and missed by many other family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be 10a- 7p with family greeting guests from 5-7p on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Wrights Funeral Parlor, Kerrville.
Funeral will be held at 10:30a, Saturday April 28, 2012 at Wrights Funeral Parlor, Kerrville. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery with Bro. Charles Gray, officiating the services. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Chris Ingersoll, Michael Magrill, Rick Surprenant, Jody Stewart, Dalton McOsker, Kyle Surprenant and Anthony Pitts Jr. Memorial contributions in the memory of Pauline Heim can be made to the charity of your choice.
