Vesta Fifer Parker Click for Condolences      Printable Version
1924 - 2012

Vesta Fifer Parker Vesta Lee Fifer-Parker was born in Kerrville, Texas on April 24, 1924; the second eldest daughter of eight children born to Willie Eugene Fifer and Rozella Washington-Fifer who preceded her in death. Vesta accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Barnett Chapel United Methodist Church. She was raised and educated in Kerrville and graduated from Doyle High School in 1942. While residing in Kerrville, Vesta married Charles Roy Parker in 1953. She was employed at the Kerrville State Hospital for twelve years. Vesta and Charles Parker left Kerrville and made El Paso, Texas their home where Vesta gave birth to their son, Christopher Parker. After having resided in El Paso for 56 years, Vesta and Charles decided to move back home to Kerrville. Vesta was a friendly person who enjoyed family gatherings, fishing and reaching out to others. Along with Vesta's parents, several siblings preceded her in death. Brothers: Melvin Fifer Sr.;(Hilda), Cecil Fifer;(Betty), Earnest Fifer, Clifford Fifer Sr. and half-brother Jack Fifer. Sisters: Mae Bell Fifer and Willie Mae Fifer-Benson;(Silas). Vesta leaves to mourn her passing, husband Charles Parker, son Christopher Parker, sister Eula Mae Fifer, sister in-law Catherine Fifer (Earnest) and sister in-law Versia Fifer (Clifford). She will also be missed by a multitude of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Fathers house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you. I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going. John 14:1- 4
