Marie Frances Whitehouse, 90, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2012 at Harbor View Nursing Home, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born July 23, 1922, in Galveston, Texas to Fred and Cora (Morrow) Duffard.
Marie married F.A. Peetz in 1939, in Corpus Christi, Texas. They had two children, Louis A. Peetz and Carolyn Peetz Carabajal. Her son is deceased.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Carabajal of Kerrville; her grandson, Rick Peetz and his wife, Laura of Corpus Christi; grandson, Clinton Lee Rostedt of San Antonio; and granddaughter, Llana Clay of Austin. She also was extremely close to her daughter-in-law, Diann Collins; and sister, Lynette of Corpus Christi, Texas.
Marie was a certified dental assistant all of her younger years, and she loved this profession. She devoted her life to it.
In 1975, she married Mr. Morris Jacob Whitehouse in Corpus Christi. In 1978 they moved to Kerrville and spent the rest of their lives together in Kerrville. Mr. Whitehouse preceded her in death.
