
Lowell Milton Hamilton Jr, 84, passed away on Sept 12, 2012 in Kerrville after a lengthy illness. He was born on December 20, 1927 in Richmond, IN to Lowell and Gesina Hamilton. He graduated from North Platte Nebraska High School, where he met his bride Dorothy F. Smith. They were married for 62 years. He drove a truck for Burlington Truck Line for over 20 years before moving his family to Kerrville in 1979. Dorothy and Lowell opened up the Hill Country Bakery (Home of the Square Donut), where he became known as the Donut Man. He was a diehard San Antonio Spurs fan and Nebraska Cornhusker fan. He was a loving husband, father and friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell M. Hamilton Sr and mother Gesina Hamilton; brother, Jim Hamilton; great granddaughter, Shamyia Holmes.
Lowell is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy F. Hamilton; son, John M. Hamilton and wife Nina; daughter, Beth Gordon; sisters, Aileen Harris and family, Betty White and family; grandchildren, Matt, Jessie, Jennifer, Anthony, Ashley and Andrew; great grandchildren, Aerion, Travon, Aiyanna, Kylie, Kayden, Jason and Allison. Lowell will be loved and missed by many other family members and dear friends.
No services at this time, family will hold burial at a later date.
