 Grace Muncey Mowery Kennedy died Monday, Oct 15, 2012 at Peterson Regional Memorial. She was born on October 23, 1922 in San Antonio to Thomas and Louise (Muncey) Ryan and at the age of 2, she was adopted by Uncle Arthur Muncey of Del Rio. She was married to James Mowery for 47 years and lived in San Antonio, Fredericksburg and Kerrville; he passed away in 1998. Grace married Charles R. Kennedy in 1999 and they were avid travelers during their entire marriage.
Grace is survived by her husband, Charles R. Kennedy of Kerrville; sons, Sam Mowery and wife Bobbie of Blanco, David Mowery and wife Theresa of Azle; daughter, Cindy Lu McGarr and husband John of Boerne; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She will be loved and missed by many other family members and dear friends.
The family will hold a private service at a later date.

Grace was a dear, lifelong friend. Thank you, Cindy, for letting me know. Charles, I know there will be a hole in your heart. Grace bragged about the care you were giving her each time we talked. My heartfelt sympathy to you, Charles, and to the children.

Grace was my long unknown 2nd cousin who delighted me with her presence once known. I loved her and will dearly miss her in this world, but we will meet again in the next life.
