Mr. George Russell Smith of Utopia, Texas, passed away at Methodist Stone Oak Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, at 1 a.m. Sunday, April 28, 2013. He was born Aug. 30, 1959, in Bird Drop Park, England. eorge owned and operated a jewelry shop on Junction Highway for many years before moving to Utopia, Texas.
He loved the view of the beautiful valley just outside his front door and thanked God daily to be alive.
George enjoyed walking his beloved dogs, Bud and Priss. He spoke to everyone he met joggers, power walkers and people in vehicles. He loved a good barbecue, the company of friends and always made sure his elderly neighbors received some barbecue also.
George will truly be missed by those who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents.
George is survived by his wife, Brenda Smith; and his brother, Frank Smith and many other family members and friends who love him will miss him.
