Ilyne Alexander VanKirk , 84 years old, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at her home. She was born in Ingram, Texas, to Christopher Columbus Lum Alexander and Minnie Mae Lock Alexander. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; two sisters; her first husband, Norman Ralph Cooper, who died in 1961; and three sons, Danny Joe in 2001, Donald Ralph in 2000, and Harold Keith Cooper in 1982.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Leroy VanKirk; daughter-in-law, Lynnette Cooper; niece, Millie Bell Smith; sister-in-law, Doris Alexander; stepchildren, Cindy, Linda, Debbie, Scott, Moe, Diane and Terri VanKirk; her grandchildren, who she adored, Kyle and wife, Vickie Cooper of Las Vegas, Nev., Eric and wife, Dana Cooper, of Grand Junction, Colo., Tracy Cooper of Dallas, Eli and wife, Rikki Cooper of Rockwall, Texas, Katherine and Cody VanKirk of Kerrville, Alex, Richelle, Jon, Shane and Dane VanKirk, Charlene Starker, Shawn Erickson, Crystal Rowland, Brandon VanKirk, Leland and Bryce Takamoto; great-granddaughters, Kaci Cooper, Dylan and Jordan Cooper; and many nephews and nieces.
